James (Jim) Hill, DVM

Greenwood Veterinarian Dr. James Hill Dr. Hill attended Purdue University Veterinary School. He started Vista Hills Animal Hospital in December of 2011. He has practiced on the south side of Indianapolis for 12 years before that. He has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1999. He likes to keep educated by going to many continuing education seminars. Dr. Hill has a dog named Toffee, she is a 3 year old mix breed adopted from the Humane Society. In his spare time he likes to go on mission trips, attend Indian Creek Christian Church, rebuild small engines, gardening, tractor pulling, and likes to volunteer when he has time. Dr. Hill chose his staff because the majority of them have worked with him in the past. He has high standards of care while, being flexible and understanding client needs and financial situations. Dr. Hill was a 10 year 4-H member and showed rabbits. His experiences in 4-H are the reason he became a veterinarian.

 

Laura Smith, DVM

Greenwood Veterinarian Dr. Laura Smith Dr. Laura Smith graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. She then did post- baccalaureate studies at the University of Louisville before graduating with her veterinary degree from Purdue University. Eager to learn more, she completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists in Southfield, MI. She worked in emergency practice for 8 years and and general practice for 2 years before beginning as a part time veterinarian at Vista Hills. She has three cats: Zen, Skitz, and Ignatius. In her spare time, Dr. Smith enjoys doing genealogy, revolutionary war re-enactments, reading, and is an officer in the Indiana Mayflower Society and the Indiana Jamestowne Society.

 

Brandon, Veterinary Assistant

Brandon, Veterinary assitant at Vista Hills Veterinary HospitalBrandon has been an employee of Vista Hills Animal Hospital for two years. He has been working in the veterinary field for 4 years. He started in the veterinary field by graduating from a technical school named Area 30, with honors, where he received some of his training but the majority came from on the job. He is currently attending Ivy Tech majoring in imaging sciences. His favorite part of working at Vista Hills Animal Hospital is working with animals, he grew up on a farm and he raised and showed rabbits. He was a member of 4-H. He has two pets; a Boston Terrier named Daisy and an English Setter named Cash. In his spare time he enjoys shooting billiards, playing cornhole, playing euchre, watching Chicago Bears football and hunting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Keegan, Veterinary Assistant

Veterinary assitant at Vista Hills Veterinary HospitalKeegan is currently a student at Harrison College working toward becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician and will be graduation in the fall. He has wanted to work with animals ever since he was little. His passion for animals is matched by his passion for history and writing. He has a dog which he rescued named Ollie.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kelly, Veterinary Assistant

Veterinary assitant at Vista Hills Veterinary HospitalKelly is currently attending Harrison College for their veterinary technician program and will graduating in December. She also has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Hanover College. She has 3 cats: Tiger, Ozzy and Kiki. She also has 2 dogs: Glinda and Annabelle. They help keep her going if she has a bad day and she loves them all immensely. In her spare time she loves to take her dogs for walks, read or watch an inappropriate amount of Netflix. She greatly looks forward helping provide excellent veterinary care for the furry loved ones in your life.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Donna, Veterinary Assistant

Veterinary assitant at Vista Hills Veterinary HospitalDonna has been working in the veterinary field for 22 years. She is currently enrolled in online courses. She has 4 cats, 3 dogs, and 3 guinea pigs. In her spare time she loves spending time with her daughter and her husband.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fawn, Receptionist

Receptionist at Vista Hills Veterinary HospitalFawn has worked in the veterinary field for 17 years and loves it more and more every day. One of her favorite parts about working in this field is the bonds she is able to create with the clients and patients. She has been married for 16 years and has 2 young boys. She also has her 4 legged children, a boxer named Lola and 4 cats, Thomas, Miles, A.J., and Purrcy. She has a passion for photography and takes plenty of pictures while on the sideline watching her youngest son play football. She also loves coaching and watching her oldest son bowl in her “spare” time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jessica, Receptionist

Receptionist at Vista Hills Veterinary HospitalJessica is from Greenfield. She is currently a receptionist at Vista Hills but hopes to be a veterinary technician soon. She attended International Business College and graduated with a degree in Veterinary Technology in March of 2011, then passed her VTNE that July. She is now working on getting her license. She has a 4 year old little girl who surprises her all the time and a 1 year old Siberian Husky named Ziva. She enjoys crocheting, watching movies, and spending time wither her family.
